SparkFun Default Settings

Local UI settings are found in the following locations:

  • Windows -- %appdata%/roaming/kicad
  • Mac -- TBD
  • Linux --TBD

To install SparkFun custom settings, copy the desired file from this repo and place in the appropriate location.

eeschema settings

Default colors for eeschema are kept as the default, but can be found in ./SparkFun_eeschema/ anyhow.

pcbnew and 3D viewer settings

Settings file sets up colors for pcbnew and the 3D viewer. A user should select either SparkFun_Green_PCB or SparkFun_Red_PCB from ./SparkFun_UI_Defaults/

Both versions use the same settings as default but with a couple changes:

  • Paste layer changed to pop out a bit
  • F.SilkS and B.SilkS chosen as light grey

Colors are set to match about what SparkFun boards look like.
