### MySQL
Further you need MySQL you can host this on the same machine or on a different machine. Download MySQL Installer from the official site: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/windows/installer/5.7.html

Download the web installer and run it. Accept the terms and click Next.
Here you have a list of different setups.
You can pick the Custom option and add MySQL Workbench and Utilities yourself the MySQL Server is default included.

Continue following the installer and let it download/install the files. Afterwards you get the option to configure MySQL do this.

You can select at Config Type 3 different options leave it at Development Machine unless you are an advanced user.
Fill at the next screen a password in for the root user. At this screen you can add another user as well if you want too but for now it ain't necessary. Leave the settings as default at the Windows Service screen.

Click next on the Plugins and Extensions screen and then click Execute at the Apply Server Configuration screen. Let it install and continue the wizard afterwards. Let it open MySQL Workbench in the end.

Connect with the Local instance that is in your MySQL Workbench. For the first time you require to type in the MySQL root password you entered earlier during the setup check "Save password in vault" if you don't want to type it in every time you connect.
You will see the following screen:

Type in `CREATE DATABASE pogosql` in the Query 1 field as seen above click then on the first Thunder icon. ![](http://i.imgur.com/4Ed3Rph.png)
Click the refresh button under SCHEMAS ![](http://i.imgur.com/8eLRR0c.png) and you will see the database added.
Now you can create a different user in case you don't want to use the root user.
Go to `Users and Privileges` under `Management` and click `Add User`.

Fill in a `Login Name` and choose a good password.
Go to the tab `Schema Privileges` and click `Add Entry...`
Select here `Selected schema:` and select the schema you created earlier and then click `ok`.

Afterwards click on `Select "ALL"` so it has every right on the added schema then click `Apply`.
Now you can close the MySQL Workbench.
### XAMPP
MySQL will be changed to using XAMPP since we will be needing a webserver as well. Will later add how to do this.
### Protobuf
**The google protobuf isn't tested yet and I am not certain if you need it fully. If anyone can assist with it that would be great.**
